Cascade County Aging Services provides a variety of services as part of the Montana Aging Network utilizing funding from the Federal Older Americans Act which is administered in Montana by the Department of Health & Human Services, State Unit on Aging
Primary Focus
Encompassing all of Cascade County, the primary focus of Aging Services is to provide services to those 60 years of age and older. Services provided through the Older Americans Act funding include:
Activities Provided Through Area Senior Centers
Senior Nutrition including:
Congregate Meals - meals provided in a group setting at the Senior Centers
Home Delivered Meals (Meals on Wheels
Health Maintenance & Improvement
Classes provided in conjunction with Cascade City-County Health Department
Information and Referral Services - provided to assist with finding the right service or agency to answer questions or address an issue
SHIP (State Health Insurance Program)
New to Medicare Counseling
Assistance with Medicare Open Enrollment
Medicare Questions
Information & Assistance to area resources for seniors and their families
Caregiver/Respite Services

The guiding principle behind Older Americans Act services is allowing people to age in place by providing services that reduce isolation, allow aging with dignity, and allow everyone to remain connected to the community. Additional Programs
In addition to Older Americans Act Programming, Aging Services manages the Foster Grandparents Program, a distribution site for the USDA Commodities Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), Durable Medical Equipment donation and loan program, we are work site for the CNCS Senior Companion Program sponsored by Rocky Mountain Development Corporation in Helena, and Medicare Fraud Watch through the Senior Medicare Improvement Program.
