Treasurer's Office

Under strict statutory regulations, the Treasurer:

  • Has custody of the County's funds
  • Controls the flow of money to and from the County and invests money daily for both County funds and funds of various taxing districts
  • Prepares and mails annual tax notices and delinquent tax notices
  • Processes tax lien sale redemptions and issuance of Treasurer's deeds
  • Manages the operations of the Motor Vehicle Department and Superintendent of Schools

2021 2ND HALF REAL ESTATE TAXES AND 2022 1ST HALF MOBILE HOME TAXES ARE DUE ON MAY 31, 2022, BY 5:00 PM.

IF MAILING YOUR PAYMENT, WE GO BY POSTMARK DATE, SO PLEASE MAKE SURE IT IS POSTMARKED BY MAY 31ST.  IF YOU WOULD LIKE A RECEIPT, PLEASE INCLUDE A SELF-ADDRESSED, STAMPED ENVELOPE.

IF PAYING IN PERSON AND DON’T WANT TO WAIT IN LINE, WE HAVE A DROP BOX INSIDE THE FRONT DOOR.  FOR DROP-OFFS, IF YOU WANT A RECEIPT, PLEASE INCLUDE A SELF-ADDRESSED, STAMPED ENVELOPE.  

IF YOU HAVE QUALIFIED FOR PROPERTY TAX ASSISTANCE (PTAP) FROM MT DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE, YOUR DUE DATE FOR 2021 2ND HALF REAL ESTATE TAXES AND 2022 1ST HALF MOBILE HOME TAXES ARE JUNE 20, 2022, BY 5:00 PM, OR POSTMARKED NO LATER THAN JUNE 20TH.   THE DUE DATE IS SHOWN AND THE EXEMPTION HAS BEEN INCLUDED ON YOUR BILL.
